Description

This position exists to support the information systems (IS) clinical applications within IU Health System. The incumbent is responsible for ongoing system support, administration, maintenance, upgrades, and vendor liaison. This position will work closely with Systems Analysts, clinical end users, IS department technical staff, and the specific IS vendors. At the Intermediate Level, the incumbent is assigned moderately difficult IS applications or projects. The incumbent will possess the knowledge and apply the fundamental concepts and practices of information systems. Incumbent performs work that is varied. Incumbent has knowledge of hospital processes and workflows.

Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Requires degree in clinical field (e.g. BSN) with current license/certification or eligibility (e.g. RN).
  • Requires experience in a clinical discipline (e.g. Nursing, Pharmacy.
  • Radiology etc.); 3-5 years preferred.
  • Requires extensive knowledge of healthcare information systems; 5 years is preferred.
  • Requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Requires critical thinking and logical troubleshooting skills.
  • Requires ability to communicate clearly and concisely through written and verbal communications.
  • Requires strong customer service skills and the ability to work as a team member.
