The System Marketing Director will lead the development and execution of marketing strategies and plans to achieve annual and long-term goals related to physician brand health and US News and World Report brand reputation. The Director is responsible for promoting and maintaining the brand image with the physician audience at local and national levels and applying various communication strategies to create an impression, raise awareness, and encourage preference and response by the physician audience for the organization and our brand. This leader is accountable to delivering strong physician brand health, improving the brand reputation score of the US News and World Report Best Hospitals Rankings and driving awareness of the Clinical Destination Programs at IU Health.
Combined with the latest technology, research breakthroughs and a partnership with the Indiana University School of Medicine, IU Health is the only hospital in Indiana nationally ranked for 24 years in a row and is a leader in providing the highest level of specialized care. This position presents a unique opportunity to work with leadership across IU Health and IU School of Medicine on an important strategic priority for both organizations. Based on the expectations as defined by the corporate priorities, this leader will help drive the business case to significantly grow a team in the next 6-12 months to support this critical strategic brand work.
The ideal candidate is proficient and has proven experience in leading the development of marketing strategies and plans that achieve short and long-term organization goals. This leader should have a high level of emotional intelligence, ability to take a mid- to long-term, big picture view of the business and experience working with leaders across functions in a matrix environment to achieve goals through influence, collaboration and identifying innovative solutions.
• Degree in Marketing, Health Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Requires 7-10 years of relevant experience including significant experience leading brand strategy.
• Requires 3+ years of direct supervisory leadership experience in a healthcare-related industry.
• Requires leadership experience in a matrix organization and complex work environment.
• Requires knowledge of state and national regulatory agency guidelines.

- Bachelors Degree Required. Masters Preferred.
