Overview

Come and join IU Health as a Hospitalist and Palliative Care Manager.  We have an awesome opportunity at our Arnett Hospital location.  

The Hospitalist and Palliative Care Manager position has 24/7 responsibility and is accountable for developing strong sense of unit identity, common purpose, and pride in unit achievement. The position provides direct clinical leadership and unit coordination, administrative decision-making, and strategic planning for inpatient Hospitalist, Social Work, and Case Management/Utilization Review departments. The employee is responsible for quality patient outcomes and highest satisfaction and for efficient and productive use of staff, material and financial resources. The Manager is responsible for purposeful and appropriate integration and collaboration among all areas in the care continuum.

 

  •  Bachelors degree required, Masters degree desirable, but not required.
  • •3-5 years of clinical leadership experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills,
  • Case Management/ Utilization experience preferred familiarity with health care reimbursement environment.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Knowledge of quality, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
  • Familiarity with health care reimbursement environment.
  • Ability to lead quality improvement initiatives.
  • Commitment to goal directed quality patient care outcomes.
  • Ability to plan and manage resource utilization.
  • Ability to facilitate and lead work teams.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills, with special emphasis on patient/family centered care.
  • Ability to promote teamwork and build effective relationships.
  • Ability to take initiative and meet objectives. A high level of interpersonal, negotiation, collaboration, problem-solving and analytical skills.
