The Specialist - Credentialing is responsible for performing technical and administrative support in all aspects of the credentialing and privileging processes; may perform functions which support the enrollment of providers in government and contracted commercial payer plans; acts as a resource to other departments/offices regarding credentialing activities; provides administrative support to the credentialing committee. May assist with preparation for joint commission; routinely auditing practitioner files for compliance.

 Associates degree in business, HR, accounting, or healthcare related discipline preferred.
• Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred.
• One to two years hospital or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of credentialing experience preferred.
• Requires basic proficiency in MS office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
