The Utilization Management Nurse performs utilization review of home health records including OASIS (outcome and assessment information set) at the time of patient admission to service, recertification, and resumption of care following an inpatient stay. Audits records for regulatory and billing compliance. Participates in monthly Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) meetings. Collaborates with front line team members throughout the patients home health course of care to maintain high quality and cost effective care delivery. Delivers one on one or small group education to front line team members as necessary to maintain documentation that is both regulatory and billing compliant.
