Exciting opportunity to lead a health system-based retail pharmacy operation within our downtown academic medical center. The pharmacy is located on the IU Health University Hospital Campus supporting University Hospital and Simon Cancer Center.  In addition to overseeing daily operations and overall pharmacy performance, the Pharmacy Manager will work with pharmacy and hospital leadership to develop, implement, and enhance services to meet the unique needs of patients as well as patient care services provided within the facilities. Current facility support services provided by the team include Meds in Hand (medication discharge program for inpatients), new patient education for solid organ transplant patients, and clear bagging of infusion products within our infusion center. Additional ability to collaborate with peer pharmacy managers across the state through the IU Health Retail Pharmacy Network. The pharmacy is also a core location within our URAC accredited Specialty Pharmacy Program.

The Pharmacy Manager Is responsible for assisting the pharmacy director with preparing and performing all activities involving the pharmacy and therapeutics committee as well as assisting the Director in complying with all applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations. The Pharmacy Manager will assist in new process implementation and quality improvement initiatives and is responsible for inventory management and the ongoing financial performance of the pharmacy.


 Requires current Indiana license or eligibility for Indiana licensure as a Pharmacist
• Requires PharmD or BS degree in Pharmacy.
• 5 - 7 years pharmacist experience is required
• Requires knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to dispensing of drugs and narcotics
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Management experience is preferred
