The Clinical Advisor partners with Clinical Effectiveness Councils (CEC) to ensure that the strategic vision of the organization is supported through evidence-based evaluation of clinical initiatives. Serves as a lead clinical resource and provides direct clinical expertise in order to improve outcomes, costs, and value of the initiatives and subsequent implementation in clinical settings systemwide. Identifies, analyzes, and interprets clinical evidence to support decision making. Integrates evidence with financial and operational data to develop recommendations with the goal of reducing unwarranted clinical variation, quality outcomes, contract maximization and compliance, achieving highest clinical value at lowest achievable cost, and effective and efficient implementation of decisions throughout the system. ·Assesses and determines impact of decision on clinical process, education and training needs, physician preference items, and subsequent implementation(s).
