Job Description

Overview

Assists in planning, coordinating and supervising overall operation and maintenance of buildings and grounds. Organizes work, estimates worker-hour requirements and delegates work to technicians within the area. Schedules preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (mechanical, electrical, etc.). Trains technicians in general repair and maintenance, using operating manuals, work orders and blueprints. Assists technicians as needed with maintenance calls, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and repair of various utility systems.

 High School Diploma or GED Required. Associate's Degree in applicable discipline preferred.
• May require a valid Indiana driver?s license with proof of insurance.
• Requires advanced knowledge of specialized areas including electrical secondary systems, plumbing systems, fire system devices, air systems and HVAC related systems.
• Requires ability to read and interpret information from complex blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
• Requires an in depth knowledge of hazardous material management, NFPA Life Safety Code, State Fire Marshall and NFPA 99 requirements.
• Requires comprehensive understanding of codes and regulations associated with maintenance utility operation including the requirements of the JCAHO, SDOH, OSHA, and other federal, state and local agencies.
• Requires a minimum of 1 year relevant experience leading teams and 5 years of experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical or other utility systems.
