The Consultant-Credentialing Contributes to the ongoing achievement of the organization's patient safety goals through ensuring medical staff and providers are credentialed and privileged at IU Health facilities. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves information, discrepancies, and time gaps that could adversely affect a facility's ability to credential and privilege providers. Responsible for maintaining accurate and comprehensive data in the credentialing software. The Consultant Verifies and document expirables using acceptable verification sources to ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standard.

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) certification preferred. Encourage CPCS certification within three years of hire.
• Working knowledge of credentialing software preferred.
• Experienced proficiency in MS office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
