Job Description

Overview

Responsible for the coordination and compliance of the Pharmacy government procurement programs (I.E. PHS 340B program). Ensures that qualifications for these government programs are met and maintained by all eligible facilities. Works with multiple departments to ensure compliance records are complete and accurate. Ensures that the program meets all primary objectives as defined by the administration by Federal statutes, regulations, rulings, and legislation. Conducts data audits to ensure program compliance. Implements process improvements, when applicable, to ensure program efficiencies and compliance. Serves as departmental liaison to multiple IUH departments to coordinate data flow between multiple systems to ensure program compliance.

 Requires Bachelors degree in Business; Accounting; IT related field of study or equivalent years of experience; Masters preferred.
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of PHS 340B program and other government procurement regulations required.
• Extensive knowledge of Pharmacy Management functions; Value Analysis; GPO/Vendor Contracts; vendor relations; and federal and state regulation/legislation interpretation required.
• Understanding of Pharmacy Services; Wholesaler; and third-party computer systems; previous programming and/or database management experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of patient billing system and Medicare Cost Reporting required.
