Apply for a Manager- Information Services role with IU Health! The hours will be M-F approximately 8a-5p and will be a hybrid role located onsite in Indianapolis with some remote opportunities throughout the week. This will be part of the Laboratory Information Services department within the Outreach and Anatomic Pathology team!
IU Health’s Laboratory Outreach and Anatomic Pathology team supports the laboratory team with business solutions that help expand laboratory services to IU Health and non-IU Health clients. The Manager-IS role is a key leader in our organization who works closely with laboratory & client leaders across the state to help market and connect laboratory services system to non-IU Health customers requesting to utilize IU Health laboratory services. The successful person in this role will have leadership experience managing a team as well as HL7 interface experience. Having a customer centric approach and experience in a healthcare setting will be very beneficial in this role. Being proficient in HL7 interfacing between Electronic Medical Record to Electronic Medical Record or Lab Information System to Lab Information System skills, Project Management, and stakeholder management are essential to being successful in IU Health’s Laboratory Outreach culture. #LI-SL

• Requires 5-7 years of relevant experience in IS and management roles—Will be managing a team of 10 people including a Team Lead. Must possess ability to support multiple platforms that support our Outreach Department (Interfaces, Lifepoint, Cerner, CoPath, Clockwise & Outreach Operations).
• Requires knowledge in business or clinical applications and supporting technology including strong customer care experience working with vendors and customers both external & internal to IU Health. Also requires Laboratory background/knowledge & regulatory understanding of CAP (College of American Pathologists) requirements for interface implementation/Validations
• Requires a demonstrated fundamental understanding of project accounting and financial management.
• Requires an understanding of general Information Management roles, responsibilities, and best practices including Project Management experience and oversight over multiple projects at one time.
• Requires HL7 experience interfacing between Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to EMR or Lab Information System (LIS) to LIS to EMR.
• Strong working skills with Interface Implementations from origination to completion including knowledge of MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc. is preferred.
• Preferred experience with contractor and vendor management.
