Apply for a Developer- Information Services Senior role with IU Health! The hours will be M-F approximately 8a-5p and will be a hybrid role located onsite in Indianapolis with some remote opportunities throughout the week! This will be part of the Enterprise Analytics department within the Analytics Delivery Team.
IU Health’s Enterprise Analytics team supports the delivery of analytics to leaders across the system. We build advance, innovative, and informative data assets and analytics products. This role works closely with customer stakeholders, developers, and data analysts to enhance our reporting layer ecosystem housed in the Azure cloud. The most successful person in this role will enjoy working with other developers one on one, help set best practices, and perform release management and change control activities. Our dynamic environment include plenty of opportunity to discover new design patterns and translate data into information. A strong customer centric approach and experience in a healthcare setting will be very beneficial in understanding the complexity of our data. Being familiar with Azure SQL Datawarehouse, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, PoweBI, Agile, CI/CD, Microsoft DevOps, Python, and SQL are essential skills to being successful in IU Health’s data driven culture.
The Senior Developer designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs new and existing software systems and/or applications for internal use under limited supervision. Serves as technical resource on development projects. Participates in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design. Writes technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements. Supports, maintains, and documents software functionality. Identifies and evaluates new technologies for implementation. Analyzes code to find causes of errors and revise programs as needed. Participates in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements. Consults with end user to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs. Provides complex database query skills such as SSIS, SRS, Stored Procedures or other complex queries to provide technical and business teams with requested data. Mentors other team members. #LI-SL1

• 5-7 years of experience required.
• Requires experience in designing and developing enterprise level applications, data extracts and interfaces using languages and technologies including but not limited to: Java, JEE, .NET, XML, JSP, ASP.net, IIS, COBOL, 4GL, HTML or SharePoint, ATG, Documentum, Search Engines as SOLR, Autonomy, Oracle, Agile, MS DevOps, SQL Server, etc.
• Requires database experience such as but not limited to Oracle, SQL Server, etc.
• Healthcare, health insurance and health providers experience and understanding of processes is desired.
• Requires experience with enterprise integration tools such as Servicemix, Cloverleaf, HL7, etc.
