Job Description

Overview

The Business Operations Supervisor exists to supervise all aspects of the Home Care departmental processes in the Continuous Glucose Monitoring department. This role will act as a liaison between Home Care Services and physicians, clinics, hospital personnel, third party payers, and other community agencies. They will serve as a resource to external and internal customers.

Office hours are Monday- Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm, weekends/on call maybe required as needed. This is a work from home position. 

Requirements:
  • Requires strong interpersonal skills to promote Home Care positively in the community. Knowledge of home care including nursing; home infusion; therapies; DME and HME preferred but not required.
  • Experience in Continuous Glucose Monitoring or diabetes space is preferred but not required. 
  • Experience with the Parachute Health ordering system is preferred but not required. 
  • Knowledge of hospital discharge planning processes preferred.
  • Requires understanding of medical terminology.
  • Requires knowledge of payor guidelines and reimbursement processes.
  • Requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Requires knowledge of software applications and excellent Microsoft Office Skills
  • particularly Excel and Word.
  • Requires ability to integrate new information into practice.
  • Requires ability to recognize opportunities for improvement.
  • Requires independent judgment.
  • Requires knowledge of state and federal regulations.
  • Requires strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member.
  • Requires strong written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities

Supervision - Ensures that all personnel are supervised within established policies. Promotes a team-oriented and service conscious environment. Ensures consistent and equitable personnel management function. Provides for an ongoing system of communication for all employees. Ensures that the functions performed by assigned employees are properly coordinated with other services and departments.

Resource Management - Assists in the development and administration of the annual fiscal plan. Monitors expenditures to ensure variances are within organizational and departmental constraints. Collaborates with Finance and Accounts Payable to ensure accuracy of departmental financial statements and timely processing.

Leadership - Assists with the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of objectives and protocols within the department. Administers departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and methodologies. Ensures compliance with all state and federal laws. Participates in departmental policy review, maintenance, and update processes.

Training and Development - Assists in providing personnel development opportunities and in-service/orientation training for employees.

Documentation - Develops and implements effective systems to ensure accurate documentation. Ensures completed documentation is in compliance with policies, procedures, systems, regulations, and laws. Ensures availability and accuracy of all reports and records for area of responsibility.

Marketing/Communication - Supervises the implementation of marketing activities. Communicates the philosophy, policies, and procedures of the agency to referral sources and clients. Informs management of changing referral needs and product requests. Projects positive company image at all times. Supervises the maintenance and communication of changing payer and referral source specifics to Home Care staff.
