Job Description

Overview

Are you interested in handling the development and implementation of Indiana University School of Medicine graduate medical education activities at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital?

We are looking for a team member to support the Assistant Dean and residency programs in developing and revising curricula and implementing educational programs in accordance with Program Requirements. We are seeking a candidate to help in implementing faculty development programs for residency faculty. This position will work with the Quality and Safety Department to link medical education initiatives to hospital and system quality/safety initiatives. Coordinate, plans and provides educational programs including simulation, lecture, and workshops which contribute to the delivery of quality health care by educating medical trainees and faculty as well as all members of interdisciplinary teams who interact with trainees regarding current standard processes. This candidate will support the Research Department as needed to assist residents and faculty in scholarly projects.

  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Highly analytical - critical thinking skills
  • Experience with developing and implementing program ideas into successful academic programs
  • Knowledge of healthcare and engage with interprofessional teams
  • Ability to work independently and be a standout colleague

 Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent years of experience required.
• Clinical license and/or other certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
• 0-3 years of experience is required.
• Experience with matrix organization and complex work environment a plus.
• Experience exhibiting professional judgment and diplomacy in handling unexpected problems and frequent interruptions is required.
• Requires basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
