What does the Outpatient Neurology Nurse Position entail?
• Hours: Monday – Friday, NO Weekends, NO Evenings, No On-call, NO Holidays!
• Position Duties: Accountable and responsible for coordination and provision of competent, evidence-based care including assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Participate in decision-making, teaching, mentoring and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to advance patient plan of care and enhance operational efficiency. Triage incoming calls and messages from patients with medical concerns and questions and ensure timely and appropriate follow-up to resolve patient needs. Assist with refill requests to the office. Perform duties associated with symptom-management. Direct in-clinic and/or telehealth patient care and quality improvement activities. Assist with scheduling neurology testing and procedures on behalf of patients. Complete necessary patient forms/documentation and/or direct patients to applicable resources to do so. Conduct patient education relative to neurology procedures and testing. Onsite patient assessment as needed. Engage with and establish trusted and reliable provider partnerships. Triage experience preferred but not required. IMPORTANT NOTE: This position is not typically in-person patient facing or bedside care. Although you will be onsite daily in an outpatient clinic setting, you will primarily support patients remotely via phone, messages, and patient portal interactions
