Job Description

Overview

This is a Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week position. The Social Worker will be responsible for providing nonmedical and medical case management for people living with HIV.  You will work with a team of social workers and public health workers in the Terre Haute office to provide a full continuum of HIV prevention and care services with the goal of ending of the HIV epidemic in Indiana.  The team is engaged at both local and state levels with macro social work practice to coordinate efforts to address HIV and Hepatitis C.

 0-3 years of experience required. Bachelor's Degree in Social Work required.
• Permanent LSW licensure preferred.
• Requires strong clinical assessment, planning and goal development skills.
• Requires knowledge of state and county adult and child protective legal mandates.
• Requires knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.
• Requires strong counseling skills to help patients and families understand, accept and follow medical recommendations.
• Requires proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
