Overview
We are seeking a Registered Dietitian that will provide nutritional management for patients with inborn errors of metabolism ranging in age from newborn to adult. Working with a care team, this position provides comprehensive clinical nutrition services including nutritional assessment and reassessment, patient/family education, clinical case management, and ordering of medical foods.
Since many of the conditions are treated by diet therapy, the chosen candidate will receive extensive education and training in metabolic diseases. Patient and family education regarding nutritional issues is also a prominent focus of the work unit. Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, integrating nutrition recommendations into the comprehensive plan of care for the patient. Candidate also plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates nutrition education individualized to the patient/client needs; precepts dietetics and other health professional students; independently orders diets, supplements and tube feedings as approved by Medical Staff Office at each facility.
•Effective July 1, 2019 all newly Registered Dietitians or dietitians newly practicing in Indiana must have an active Indiana license. All current Registered Dietitians must maintain Indiana certification until next renewal period. Effective January 1, 2021 all dietitians must have an active Indiana license. RD Eligible hires are required to obtain their RD and LD within 6 months of hire date.
