Ware hiring for a full-time, day shift Ambulatory Supervisor in our Multispecialty Clinic!

 

The RN Ambulatory Supervisor will be responsible for:

  • Managing staffing schedules
  • Managing call ins
  • Constant interaction with teams to ensure they have the need tools.
  • Update teams on IS, nursing, CMA and Cerner changes.
  • Promote and guide current staff with achieving higher levels of education and roles.
  • Ensuring daily huddles are done.
  • Help manage Cerner messaging pools and be a resource for staff with questions.
  • Fill in on the schedules when there is a staffing need.
  • Work with multidisciplinary team to work on process improvements for the clinic space.

The RN- Ambulatory Supervisor reflects the mission, vision, and values of Indiana University Health, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. The registered professional clinical nurse (RN) is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of competent, evidence-based care along the care continuum, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This position may provide leadership, management, and oversight of nursing practice, clinical care delivery, and provide personnel management to assigned clinical staff.. This position provides assistance with problem-solving; ensures adequate staffing and material resources are available to support patient care and efficient clinic operations. . The nurse adheres to the ANA Scope and Standards of Professional Nursing and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.

Requirements
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN).
  • Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Requires current state of Indiana license as a Registered Nurse.
  • Two years experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of procedures for performing the functions appropriate to the specific clinical area and familiarity with designated pieces of equipment and supplies.
  • Requires ability to coordinate a number of functions for a group of patients in an effective timely manner.
  • Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
