Overview
The Executive Director for the Neuroscience Institute, under the direction of and in close collaboration with the Neuroscience Institute’s Physician Director, advances implementation of the strategic plan and manages the metrics for strategy implementation. Coordinates the administrative, fiscal, research, education and clinical operations of the Institute in advancement of and alignment with the missions of Indiana University (IU) Health, IU Health Physicians, and IU School of Medicine. Advances a culture of collaboration and teamwork dedicated to patient care and quality outcomes with a patient centered focus. Works to develop and support pan-health system quality of Neuroscience services, Neuroscience Center of Excellence, Neuroscience research initiatives, and educational programs. Collaborates with health system, physician, and school leaders on clinical operations, issues, budget priorities, workforce planning, and capital needs. Collaborates with Service Line leaders from relevant entities. Engages in development of Neuroscience Institute resource management, procurement of extramural grants, and dissemination of new knowledge via local, regional, national, and international presentations and publications. Collaborates with the offices of Research Affairs and Educational Affairs to ensure alignment and progress on Institute academic goals. Works to build support and consensus for integration of heart and vascular clinicians, investigators, educators, trainees, and administrators across IU Health, IUHP, and IUSM as One IUNSI team. Advocates for and encourages multidisciplinary approaches, inclusive of diverse talent and perspectives. Disseminates expectations and advances the team’s achievement of growth in research and programmatic funding as well as development of ACGME Fellowships to advance strategic programs.
