Job Description

Overview

We have a rewarding special weekend opportunity available on our Renal/Metabolic Care C5 unit at Methodist Hospital! This 26-bed unit provides 24-hour care to acutely ill patients. This unit is a medical unit that cares for patients with a variety of medical diagnosis which could include renal disease, diabetes management, wound management, pain management, and vascular access issues supporting patients varying from young adult to the geriatric age group. This unit is the designated unit for providing all Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD) for Methodist Hospital.

This unit also embodies an additional unit, B5, a 5-bed End of Life Care unit that is dedicated to the care of patients at the end of life, including both palliative and hospice care.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program
  • State of Indiana license as Registered Nurse
  • Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies
