IU Health has exciting nursing opportunities in our East Central Region on a newly renovated and combined Oncology Progressive Care Unit. Our magnet-designated hospital specializes in multi-specialty patients.

Oncology Progressive Care Unit: This 25 bed unit is committed to delivering the best, high quality, compassionate care to all patients. On OPC, we utilize a team approach consisting of nurses, physicians, patient care assistants, case managers, and unit support staff. Our care team specializes in the care of stable progressive care patients, patients with a diagnosis or history of cancer, end of life care, including Inpatient Hospice, and medical level of care. As part of the Inpatient OPC team, you will have the opportunity to become a certified nurse by obtaining your Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN), Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN), or Progressive Care Certification (PCCN). Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Requires an Associate of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Requires current state of Indiana license as a Registered Nurse.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
