Overview
This position will initially be covering for maternity leave coverage (up to 30 hours) in Behavioral Care, and then transition to PRN coverage as needed in our acute care/rehab setting. Maternity coverage will be in inpatient rehab/acute care. Hours would be T-F 8-4;30 and Saturday rotations with hours 10:30-2:30 in our Behavioral Care. Travel required between facilities (12 miles) in own vehicle with mileage reimbursement.
Ideal candidate will be able to work independently and will bring 2 + years’ inpatient hospital experience as CTRS, experience with a variety of diagnosis including TBI, SCI, neuro, developmental delays, debilitation, cardiac, cancer, psych and eating disorder is preferred. Knowledgeable in APIE process, treatment interventions and modalities, and individual and group process. Will be a part of a growing TR team at Riley.
Responsibilities include: Group facilitation for adolescents, psych and eating disorders. Multidisciplinary treatment team process, community reintegration, flexibility, initiation, and exceptional communication. Independent in creative therapeutic approaches. 1:1 TR sessions for children and adolescents on the rehab unit and acute care setting. Participate in a multidisciplinary team , with documentation and team collaboration. Participate in community reintegration activities. Requires exceptional communication and independent in therapeutic approaches.
Provides therapeutic, recreational and leisure services to patients/clients, including development of individual treatment plans. Provides consultation to physicians and others regarding appropriateness of referral to recreational therapy. Documents patient/ client programs and progress, educates the patient/ client and others regarding recreational therapy programs. Willingly participates in related activities in support of patient/ client care, education and department operations. Acts as a resource or mentor and provides functional guidance to the team. Coordinates staff/patient scheduling, orientation and training. Ensures proper clinical documentation and monitors workload to ensure staff utilization.
