Overview

Pharmacy hours are Monday – Friday 7AM – 6PM and Saturday 8AM- 2PM (Saxony closed).

Exciting opportunity to join our health system retail pharmacy team. We are currently seeking candidates interested in joining our growing team of PRN pharmacists to help support our retail locations within the Indianapolis area. All locations are embedded within IU Health facilities including Methodist Hospital (downtown Indianapolis, IN), North Hospital (Carmel, IN), Saxony Hospital (Noblesville, IN), University Hospital (downtown Indianapolis, IN), and West Hospital (Avon, IN). Must be willing to work at least one shift per month (scheduled Saturday 8am – 2PM) and float across locations based on overall staffing needs. Additional opportunity to float to other IU Health regions across the state to secure additional hours as needed to assistance with acute staffing needs.

This position exists to provide comprehensive, value based, medication-related care to achieve definite outcomes that improve a patient's quality of life. The incumbent acts in collaboration with healthcare professionals in the shared responsibility for patient drug therapy outcomes. Key job duties may consist of ensuring safety and effectiveness of the medication use process, processing and dispensing medications per order or prescription, medication therapy monitoring, regulatory compliance, maintaining oversight over pharmacist extenders, maintaining the security of medications, and protecting the confidentiality of patient information. Additionally, is competent at providing drug information support for medical staff, ensuring continuity of care, and identifying potential challenges in common situations.

 Requires current Indiana License or eligibility for Indiana licensure as a pharmacist.
• Successful completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 and/or PGY2 pharmacy residency may be required.
