Apply for the Senior Developer role with IU Health! This will be a hybrid schedule with onsite responsibilities in Indianapolis as well as weekly remote opportunities! This role will be part of the Enterprise Analytics department within the Data Management - Data Science team.
Senior Data Engineer - Google Cloud Healthcare Data Engine is a hybrid technical and business advisor. This individual embodies project/program management skills, technical vision, and business insight. This position will partner heavily with internal and external teams to provide data for and solutions around the IU Health Google Cloud Healthcare Data Engine platform.
- Cloud Experience and/or certifications. GCP Preferred.
- Experience in implementing and deploying Big data applications
- Experience with Apache Spark, Cloud Composer/Apache Airflow, Dataflow/Apache Beam, Big Query
- Must have hands-on expertise in Python and/or Java/Scala; SQL proficiency preferred as well
- Experience with structured Enterprise Architecture practices, hybrid cloud deployments, and on-premise-to-cloud migration deployments and roadmaps
- Knowledge of common healthcare data exchange formats (e.g., HL7, FHIR, CCDA), Big Data/ML/AI-related technology services for healthcare
- Ability to position Google's technology to help with the digital transformation of companies (healthcare)
- Willingness to dive into technical big data projects and deliver solutions (planning and technical implementation) to customers
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years of experience required
- Requires knowledge of Big Data frameworks and design tools
- Requires deep expertise in at least one technology domain

• Requires experience in designing and developing enterprise level applications, data extracts and interfaces using languages and technologies including but not limited to: Java, JEE, .NET, XML, JSP, ASP.net, IIS, COBOL, 4GL, HTML or SharePoint, ATG, Documentum, Search Engines as SOLR, Autonomy, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.
• Requires database experience such as but not limited to Oracle, SQL Server, etc.
• Healthcare, health insurance and health providers experience and understanding of processes is desired.
• Requires experience with enterprise integration tools such as Servicemix, Cloverleaf, HL7, etc.
