Overview
The Regional Director of Quality and Safety provides strategic, operational, and thought leadership to support Indiana University Health goals. This leader is responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of the Quality Assessment/Performance Improvement (QAPI) and Infection Prevention (IP) Program(s) within the Region, in collaboration with the Board of Directors, medical staff and senior leadership. The Regional Director works collaboratively with colleagues to ensure measurable improvement in health outcomes, prevention of medical errors, and reduction of patient harm. As well as directs, facilitates, and influences the alignment of clinical quality, patient safety, and infection prevention improvement efforts within the Region by promoting adoption of local and national benchmarking for best practices. Ensures active regional representation and engagement in IU Health System quality, patient safety and infection prevention initiatives.
