Nuclear Medicine Technologist - PRN Up to 23 Hours per Week

Job Description

Overview

Performs diagnostic procedures involving the use of radioactive drugs to perform body function studies, organ imaging, and analyze biologic specimen, in a timely fashion, while demonstrating the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to work with patients from pediatric through geriatric. Follows physician's instructions, prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly in order to record the requested diagnostic images. Treats patients with care and respect.
 Basic Life Support certification required.
• Must hold American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT) Nuclear Medicine (NM) or Certifed Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
• As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, if you are required to perform SPECT/CT or PET/CT you will be required to obtain CT certification within 18 months of hire through ARRT or NMTCB.
• Nuclear Medical Technologist License from Indiana State Department of Health.
• Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
• License from Indiana State Department of Health.
