We are looking to fill a Full Time Trauma Registrar position (40hours a week) with our team at Riley Hospital. Candidates will be required to work Monday through Friday 8:00 am-4:30pm, there is some flexibility depending on the team member. The ideal candidate will have emergency department or hospital experience, including medical record coding or unit admin experience and is detail oriented.
There are strong opportunities for career growth with certifications which are encouraged (CSTR certified specialist in trauma registry; CAISS certified abbreviated injury scale specialist) as well as career growth with data analytic skills.
The Trauma Registrar prioritizes and coordinates the activities for the Trauma Registry in order to meet schedules and deadlines, maintain current and accurate procedures and practices. They perform a variety of functions to support the collection and coordination of Trauma Performance Improvement statistics with emphasis on data entry into a comprehensive computerized management system. They act as a liaison with the Trauma Program Manager, Medical Director(s) and trauma staff to provide reports on a scheduled and ad hoc basis. They collect trauma data for injury research and prevention, as well as quality improvement tracking and assures accuracy and confidentiality in the handling of all Trauma Registry related matters and is concerned with and active in the improvement of Trauma Program within the facility.
