Program Manager (Design and Construction)

Job Description

Overview

Leads and directs multiple construction projects from $10 million - $200 million, varying from multiple smaller projects at an existing site and/or construction of new facilities on a new site. Accountable for program development, budget, schedule, and management of project team for projects assigned. Supports the design that cares for the whole patient; mind, body and spirit. Provides input into the design and execution of projects that address the safety of patients, staff, visitors, and construction workers in keeping with IU Health's mission of promoting community wellness. Serves as a resource to entire project team providing technical knowledge and expertise in the requirements of construction management. Negotiates and manages contracts. Ensures that all construction documents and required recordkeeping is maintained appropriately.

Bachelors Degree in engineering, construction management, architecture or other related field is required. • must have proven significant experience in managing projects over $10 million • Professional Engineer, Project Management Professional, or like certifications is preferred. • Requires knowledge of business, management, finance and project cost control techniques. • Requires experience working in a complex, matrix environment. • Program management experience is preferred. • Requires comprehension of applicable regulations, such as the NFPA Life Safety Code, ISDH Regulations including the AIA Guidelines for Design and Construction of Health Care Facilities, International Building Code and Americans with Disability Act.

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Requires 5-7 years of relevant and complex project management experience.
• Program management experience is preferred.
• Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
• Requires experience working in a complex, matrix environment.
