What will your role look like?
The Patient Care Technician provides a combination of direct patient care and unit clerical duties for the department. Administers care to designated patients under the direction of a Clinical Nurse and provides support to the patient care team. Ensures a clean and orderly environment for the patient. Provides information, directions and other assistance to physicians, patients, families, customers and vendors.
Some of the responsibilities are:
Performing some or all of basic patient care needs such as, bathing, feeding, vitals, activities of daily living, transportation of patients, discontinue IV, Accucheck, and phlebotomy.
May be required to provide continuous observation including suicide prevention.
Any additional unit-based duties
Schedule/Benefits:
12-hour shifts
Shift differential available for evenings, nights, and weekends
Every third weekend commitment
Rotating Holiday commitment
