IU Health has an excellent career opportunity for a Clinical Lab Manager at IU Health Methodist Hospital. We are looking for an experienced Clinical Lab Manager to oversee our newly constructed, automated clinical laboratory within IU Health Methodist Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong background as a Medical Laboratory Scientist with at least three years of leadership experience. They will have organizational skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a strong commitment to patient focused care. The Lab Manager will handle development and implementation of quality control procedures, CAP/CLIA regulatory compliance, staff training, and supervision while ensuring quality patient results within a specified time. The Lab Manager will have responsibility of approximately 30 employees and report directly to the Director of Core Lab Operations.

The Clinical Lab Manager will be joining a hospital that is the largest in the state of Indiana and only one of four regional Level 1 Trauma Centers in the state. IU Health Methodist Hospital has 625 staffed beds and is one of the largest teaching hospitals in the area. The Lab Manager will coordinate with other departments within Methodist to ensure quality assurance initiatives are being met for all patients within the hospital.

 Bachelor's in medical technology, chemical, physical or biological science is required.
• Masters in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, chemical, physical, or biological science preferred.
• Requires 5-7 years of training/experience in high complexity testing in the respective specialty.
• Requires appropriate certification by ASCP, AMT, NCA or equivalent certification.
• Requires comprehensive background in supervision.
• Requires ability to deal with multiple laboratory needs within the division.
• Requires extensive knowledge about computers and use of various software programs.
• Requires familiarity with automated and non-automated testing equipment.
• Requires knowledge of state and federal regulations.
• Requires ability to plan and manage the utilization of resources.
• May be required to travel.
