Overview

We have exciting opportunities available on our Inpatient Services Unit at White Memorial Hospital in Monticello, IN! This is a 25 bed unit that treats patients across the lifespan starting at age 18 with various diseases and illnesses. We have swing beds that are also available on this unit for the patient population needing rehab services. Some examples of admission include: post-stroke, MI, CHR, gastro, diabetes, neuro, and pulmonary issues.

We are committed to providing a comprehensive, personalized support system to new graduate nurses to help you transition to the role of professional nurse.

Once hired to a department, alongside nursing orientation, all new graduate nurses in their first nursing role will have the opportunity to participate in a Nurse Residency Program called "Transition to IU Health Nursing Practice." The Nurse Residency program goals are to provide socialization and support, enhance clinical judgment, and promote professional development.

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

The registered professional clinical nurse (RN) is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of competent, evidence-based care along the care continuum, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The clinical nurse participates in decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care, achieve outcomes and enhance operational efficiency. The nurse adheres to the ANA Scope and Standards of Professional Nursing and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.
