Job Description

Overview

The Administrative Assistant for the Neuroscience Institute, provides basic administrative and technical support to the leadership team, including:

  • Manages schedules, calendars, and travel arrangements for the executive director and center directors
  • Collaborates with institute co-director’s assistants to schedule and manage meetings and events relating to the NSI
  • Coordinates meetings
  • Identifies, enhances, and follows specific processes and procedures to maximize the efficiencies of the business to which the support is being provided
  • Utilizes business software applications to prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, minutes, etc. (Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Assists with planning and overseeing institute events including budget confirmation, catering, travel, invoice management, scheduling venue and guest speakers and attendees
  • Handles inquiries as appropriate
  • Manages work with basic guidance and direction
  • Addresses basic administrative and technical issues when they arise.

 High School Diploma/GED required.
• Requires 0-3+ years relevant experience; previous administrative experience preferred.
• Experience with matrix organization and complex work environment a plus.
• Requires basic proficiency in MS office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
