Overview

The Regional Chief Operating Officer leads and coordinates regional operational excellence and executes the regional strategic plan to advance our goals. An organizer and an executor, the incumbent facilitates the annual operational excellence planning process as well as designs and oversees the structure and process to maintain line of sight to performance, facilitating achievement of our organizational goals and priorities in partnership with regional Executive Team colleagues. The Regional COO oversees the performance improvement hub, has responsibility for oversight of capital projects as well as an operational scope of responsibility as defined by the region. The incumbent participates in and effectively leverages a peer network of Regional COOs across the state. The Regional COO is a values-based senior leader who can work effectively in a highly matrixed environment and is a future oriented change leader. The leader will report to the President of the region.

Required Skills/Experiences: 

• Requires a Bachelors Degree.
  • Masters Degree is preferred.
• Requires relevant healthcare leadership experience with a demonstrated track record of results and implementing systems and leading clinical transformation.
• Strong demonstrated transformational and complex, matrixed leadership skills (inspiring, problem solving, communication across multiple organizations, executing) to champion achieving the vision of the organization.
• Requires knowledge and experience in hospital operations, finance, quality, regulatory compliance, people leadership, and community relations.
