We have an outstanding opportunity available for a IONM Tech to join our team at our downtown Indianapolis locations.  This role will also be Sign on Bonus Eligible!!!

This position will be a Tuesday-Friday shift working 7a-5:30p.   These Techs are required to participate in IONM call rotation as well.

The IONM Tech responsibilities include performing simple and/or complex IONM cases in OR and IR with minimal technical supervision. These Techs will be responsible for providing accurate, high quality Neurodiagnostic testing. Responsible for commutation with all physicians (oversight neurologist, surgeon, anesthesia, etc.) per communication guideline. Able to perform simple troubleshooting: Electrode problem, simple computer issues, able to identify common artifacts, modify monitoring programs to adjust to specific surgical needs from a case-to-case bases.  And these Team members are responsible to precept new or training team members on simple and/or complex IONM cases.

All patient care team members are responsible to meet patient needs, demonstrate willingness to learn new skills, providing accurate and high quality Neurodiagnostic testing, and foster a harmonious work environment in which high quality patient care and customer service is consistently provided. Engagement in collaborative research or continuing education projects is strongly encouraged. Along with the ability to review surgery schedules to foresee and plan for upcoming IONM needs is encouraged.  Self-driven desire for continuous improvement to work towards being a tech 3 is a plus.

This Tech may be required to provide coverage at other IU Health downtown facilities between Methodist Hospital and Riley Children's Hospital.


High School Diploma/GED required. Associate's Degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience preferred.
• Graduate from a CAAHEP accredited Neurodiagnostic Program is preferred.
• Requires registry in CLTM or CNIM.
• Must have passed examination and obtained the credential appropriate to their modality of practice.
• Requires current BLS certification.
• Requires ability to meet all requirements of competencies in which Registries are held.
• Requires initiative towards the application of tests and modifies established protocols to fit patient needs.
• Requires manual dexterity, visual acuity and the ability to concentrate for extended amounts of time under stressful conditions in order to properly and effectively administer Neurophysiological monitoring and testing.
• Requires the ability to recognize neurological comprising conditions and communicate those conditions to assure appropriate actions are taken.
