Job Description

Overview

Position Summary

This position receives, coordinates and dispatches information and instructions to Protective Svc Officers for assistance and protective services. Monitors in-house security television system and fire security alarm system for the purpose of requesting or providing necessary assistance. Performs duties and tasks of Protective Svc Officer approximately 60% of the time.

Requirements

 Requires HS grad or GED Equivalent.
• Requires current; non-restricted Indiana Driver's License and valid state of Indiana license to carry a firearm.
• Requires the successful completion of the Firearms Proficiency Test with continuous requalification on a semi-annual basis.
• Requires successful completion of dispatcher training.
• Must successfully complete training as determined by the Safety and Security Department.
• Requires Officers to carry a firearm after probationary period ends.
• Requires working knowledge of computers and various software programs.
• Requires two (2) years of Security and/or Law Enforcement related experience.
• Prior security or law enforcement experience preferred.
