Are you ready for the most meaningful work of your life? The Post Op Surgical unit is seeking nurses who will have the opportunity to collaborate with the brightest minds in medicine.
Our Adult Surgical Step-down Unit is a 32-bed Post Op unit, which consist of orthopedic, gynecological, breast, and other general surgeries, post op. Staff are comprised of RN, PCA, PCR, US, MBT, Bath Aide, and ADT RN. RNs mostly interact with surgeons, hospitalists, and rehabilitation services.
Once hired to a department all nurses beginning their RN career will have the opportunity to participate in a Nurse Residency Program called "Transition to IU Health Nursing Practice." The program goals are to provide socialization and support, improve clinical judgment, and promote professional development.
