We are looking to fill a Full Time Unit Secretary position with Stress Care Center at Bloomington Hospital. This position is required to work 3 nights (7:00pm – 7:30am) a week, every 3rd weekend, and a holiday rotation.

The Unit Secretary ensures accurate and complete information is received from patient to facilitate coordination and communication between physician, unit staff, and ancillary departments. They provide receptionist functions for the unit and perform clerical duties associated with supporting patient care within their scope of practice.  The unit secretary role serves as the first point of contact for families/visitors to the unit.

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant, Medical Secretary classes, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA preferred.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in a health care setting preferred.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Must be able to complete required (if applicable) training program.
• Requires basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
