Job Description

Overview

As a Customer Service Representative for over 100+ medical offices including specialty providers, emergency rooms & three IU Health regional hospitals, you will primarily provide switchboard responsibilities & contact for all of IU Health’s East Central Region functioning as the information hub that answers, routes & manages internal & external calls 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This position involves but is not limited to processing internal & external calls, screening for patient information, overhead & digital paging, emergency procedure functions & documentation, providing physicians answering service to over 300+ providers, dispatching local IUH law enforcement & much more!


 High School Diploma/GED. No experience required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical coding preferred.
• Ability to type 30+ words per minute.
• Requires working knowledge of computers.
