Performs high risk obstetrical ultrasounds, as well as specialized exams, while demonstrating the appropriate knowledge and skills. Performs independent sonographic images of maternal-fetal conditions and assists provider with ultrasound guidance during invasive procedures. Follows physician's instructions, prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly in order to record the requested diagnostic images. Complies with all requirements of the Center's AIUM accreditation. Treats patients with care and respect.

Requirements: 

• Requires satisfactory completion of an accredited ultrasound training program.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry/CCI of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, specializing in obstetrics and gynecology required.
• Requires Nuchal Translucency certification within 2 years of hire date.
• May be required to be registered by the American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT).
• Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
• License from Indiana State Department of Health if applicable.
