The Quality and Infection Prevention Manager manages the development and implementation of quality initiatives. Owns and oversees end to end strategies to ensure the highest rating through appropriate measurement bodies, including The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare/Medicaid Services (CMS), Anthem, and other 3rd party payors. Monitors progress and demonstrates improvements toward established goals, which may include maximizing revenues through quality scores. Serves as a resource for quality data and performance improvement, High Reliability Organization (HRO) principles, error prevention, and patient safety culture for the hospital leadership team. Serves as the designated contact for the Infection Prevention Program and uses regional and system resources in planning and carrying out the infection prevention program. Conducts targeted infection surveillance activities including investigation and responses to outbreaks of infections among patients and/or personnel. Recommends and teaches appropriate preventative measures to control infection. Assures compliance with recommendations from regulatory and accrediting agencies.
