Build your career with IU Health! We have an exciting opportunity available for a Absence Management Consultant to join the HR Shared Services team at our Downtown Indianapolis location on a hybrid schedule.
This position requires knowledge and experience with the FMLA and ADAAA. Empathy and compassion is required along with an ability to work independently on cases. Excellent computer skills, and an ability to talk and type for 90% of your day. The Absence Management Consultant serves as a consultant to management and team members regarding STD/LTD/FMLA programs and policies. Coordinates, reviews, analyzes and investigates STD/LTD/FMLA claims within established guidelines. Participates in training programs and presentations to communicate details of how Absence Management programs work and builds team member/manager understanding. Performs administrative support functions including document preparation, filing, copying, faxing, scanning, etc. Maintains confidentiality of employee data and sensitive Human Resources (HR) issues. Provides statistical and analytical reports for management use. Works closely with the HR team to consistently deliver high quality customer service to internal and external customers, and provide professional representation of the department.
