Overview

IU Health Pediatrics Orthopedics is currently seeking a Ortho Cast Tech to join the team!

We are searching for individuals who are compassionate, serve with a purpose, are dedicated to supporting their team, and who seek excellence every day.

  • Full-Time Days 8:00AM-4:30PM
  • Monday-Friday
  • No Weekends/No Holidays
  • We offer Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k match, Tuition reimbursement and a generous PTO plan!

Under the direction of unit nursing or unit leadership, performs basic patient care technician/nursing assistant functions. Assists with fractures, casting, placement of skeletal pins and removal of sutures or pins. Assembles and attaches orthopedic traction equipment and devices. Maintains cast room and inventory of orthopedic equipment and supplies.

 High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
• Orthopedic technician certification preferred.
• Successful completion of ortho technician orientation required upon hire.
