Job Description

Overview

Build your career with IU Health!  We have an exciting opportunity available for a Industrial Hygienist Program Manager to join the Safety & Security team at our University Hospital but will support other locations in Marion County and surrounding counties. 

Industrial Hygienist (IH) will coordinate, plan and conduct the Industrial Hygiene program to educate employees about safety and protection in the workplace. This position will be responsible for Industrial Hygiene program development to include: investigations, monitoring, sampling, controls, IH equipment maintenance, and report writing. The IH will inspect facilities and work areas to prescribe corrective actions to reduce health risks. This position will be responsible for locations on the Academic Health Center license, to include Marion County & surrounding counties. Some travel required

Drives the development, management, and coordination of program activities and services. Contributes to budgeting and resource allocation planning to ensure that the program meets the overall objectives and initiatives. Evaluates current practices; develops and implements a course of action to remedy any deficiencies with respect to departmental policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Acts a liaison to other departments and collaborates with internal and external partners ensuring the delivery of optimal service and/or patient care.

 Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Requires 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Certification/licensure may be required per unit/department specialty.
• Program management experience is preferred.
• Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
• Requires experience working in a complex, matrix environment.
