IU Health Physicians is currently looking for an engaged, collaborative leader for our Cardiology, Cardiopulmonary and Pulmonology office at our Fort Wayne, IN location. Essential Functions:
Planning – contribute towards successful implementation of annual operating plan, assist with financial analysis and formulation of recommendations to achieve plan objectives.
Personnel Management – effectively manages assigned staff in a manner consistent with organizational policies and values.
Accreditation – ensures compliance with all applicable quality and accreditation standards within the assigned areas.
Financial Management – provides for effective monitoring and financial management of assigned areas. Seeks and recommends potential opportunities for cost containment and analyzes variances from budge plan or anticipated trends.
Leadership – assists with planning within assigned areas and directs and coordinates the ongoing activities to meet established objectives and aims.
Continuous Improvement – promotes and supports the participation of staff in applying the principle/model of continuous improvement to improve existing processes and enhance the effective utilization of resources (human and material).
Clinical Practice – demonstrates clinical competency and leads others in assessing, planning, providing, facilitating, and evaluating clinical patient care. Accountable for patient assessment and clinical outcomes. Initiaties appropriate care guidelines, policies, procedures, and standards for patient care. Takes lead role in coordinating the interdisciplinary team to plan for the entire patient experience.
Licensure/Certification/Registrations – verifies that employees possess documentation of current appropriate licensure/certification/registrations as required by job description
The clinical manager combines clinical experience and contemporary leadership practices with the IU Health Way to achieve excellent outcomes. Accountable for translating and achieving our strategic priorities and outcomes: quality and safety improvements, care affordability, great patient experiences, and great team member experiences. Accountable for providing strategic vision and operational planning for assigned unit. Incumbents will lead an inter-professional team to create an environment where the team is empowered to achieve excellence in patient and organizational outcomes. This role is accountable for advancing nursing practice by advocating and consistently embedding evidenced-base practices and professional nursing standards.
