Overview

M-F hours may verify for an 8 hour shift between 6a-6p.  IU Health’s Patient Financial Counselor positions serve as the point of contact for patients seeking assistance with the cost of healthcare. This position helps patients understand and apply for assistance programs such as Medicaid, HIP, SNAP/TANF, and IU Health’s Financial Assistance Program. This highly rewarding role is responsible for the delivery of customer-facing services within Revenue Cycle System Services and requires a high level of customer service skills.  Sound like a great fit?   • Prior experience with public and private assistance programs preferred.
  • For those serving as a Financial Counselor, a current Indiana State Navigator's license is required within 30 days of hire.
  • At least one year of experience in a hospital or physician setting preferred.
  • Requires working knowledge of patient registration,
  • Requires a high level of interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Requires the ability to work within a team and maintain collaborative relationships.
  • Requires the ability to take initiative and meet objectives.

  •  For those serving as the Individual Solutions Coordinator (ISC), a current Indiana State Navigator's license is required.
    •At least one year of experience in hospital or physician Revenue Cycle strongly preferred.
    • Requires working knowledge of patient registration and financial clearance.
    • Requires a high level of interpersonal and problem solving skills.
    • Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Requires the ability to work within a team and maintain collaborative relationships.
    • Requires the ability to take initiative and meet objectives.
