This is a full-time/day shift PET CT Technologist position at Arnett Hospital. Monday through Friday, rotating weeknight and weekend call is required. The candidate will be working in both an inpatient and outpatient setting in nuclear medicine and PET/CT.

Under the direction of a physician, operation manager and with supervision of CT and Nuclear Medicine section team leaders, performs diagnostic studies utilizing radiopharmaceuticals and operation of PET/CT equipment for image acquisition and radiopharmaceutical distribution through organs, body functions and analyze biologic specimens. Performs diagnostic CT and fusion of PET/CT images for physician interpretation. Treats patients with care and respect.
Basic Life Support certification required. May also require Advanced Life Support certification, if applicable.

  • Requires active status through one of the following: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine, RT(NM); or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB): CNMT.
  • Requires advanced certification in Computed Tomography (CT) through the ARRT or NMTCB within 18 months of hire.
  • Requires experience as a registered CT and Nuclear Medicine technologist.
  • Requires current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • Requires knowledge of PACS/RIS for training and problem resolution.
  • Requires knowledge of anatomy; physiology; mathematics; chemistry; physics; biology; radiation safety; clinical nuclear instrumentation; computer operation and laboratory techniques.
  • Requires an excellent working knowledge of PET and CT procedures; the appropriate imaging protocols to be followed and in-vivo procedures.
  • Requires a strong understanding of the handling of radiopharmaceuticals during the receipt; storage; administration; and disposal process.
  • Requires an excellent working knowledge of imaging equipment and proper quality control criteria for each type of instrument being used.
  • Requires knowledge of proper laboratory procedures and a strong understanding of all hospital; state and federal policies and regulations regarding the handling of radioactive materials; hazardous chemicals; and body fluids.
