We are seeking for a full-time Accreditation and Regulatory Consultant with experience in accreditation and regulatory, survey management, or working with the joint commission!

The Consultant plans, implements, directs, and facilitates activities that support system wide efforts to be successfully accredited and continuously ready for patients. Consults and advises key partners and leaders on accreditation/regulatory interpretations, educates and facilitates survey preparation activities, manages and audits onside surveys, and serves as a liaison between the organization and its accreditation and regulatory bodies. Analyzes and provides recommendations around performance and continuous quality improvement initiatives that drive organizational outcomes. Drives acceptance by partners and serves as an accreditation matters expert for leaders and team members.

    Facilitates accreditation and regulatory compliance activities within assigned facilities and provides interfacility readiness support to other facilities across IU Health. Key job responsibilities include education, consultation and advisement with key stakeholders and leaders on accreditation/regulatory interpretations, education, training and coordination of survey preparation activities, onsite survey management and comprehensive post-survey follow-up, including written responses and assurance of comprehensive actions plans to correct deficiencies. Proactively assists in reviewing new or revised services and spaces to ensure compliance.  Participates in performance activities to gain or restore compliance when needed. Provides periodic updates to leadership on status of readiness and compliance. Serves as facility liaison for communications with the Indiana Department of Health and applicable accreditating organizations.  
     
  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Requires 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • CPHQ or other comparable healthcare regulatory certification endorsed by IU Health System Regulatory Affairs required within two years of employment.
  • Interfacility travel for surveying and in-state overnight stays is required.
  • Requires current state of Indiana license as a health care professional (e.g., Registered Nurse with an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license, Respiratory Therapist, Pharmacy or Rehabilitation license).
