Indiana University Health has exciting nursing opportunities in our East Central Region Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. Our magnet-designated hospital specializes in multi-specialty patients.
Cardiac Intensive Care: This 18 bed unit is committed to providing quality care to fresh post-op open heart patients: STEMI; cardiac arrest and end stage heart failure & any critically ill or unstable patient.
Open Heart patients stay from surgery to discharge, Focused daily rounding on each patient, Mobilization of even some of our most ill patients, Pronation and Bi-level therapy for our acute respiratory distress syndrome patients, Balloon pump, Arctic sun, Continuous bedside dialysis training and care
Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Requires an Associate of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
Requires current state of Indiana license as a Registered Nurse.
Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
