Overview

Seeking a highly motivated, quality minded individual to lead our team of sterile and non-sterile compounding pharmacists and technicians. Our Centralized Compounding department within the Integrated Service Center located in Plainfield, IN will provide Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN), sterile and non-sterile products for IU Health facilities. Highly qualified candidates will be board certified as a Sterile Compounding Pharmacist (BCSCP) or willing to complete this certification within a year of hire. This position will be responsible for ensuring that sterile and non-sterile production meets quality, safety, environmental control standards, and regulations. 

Oversees and coordinates the daily operations of the hospital pharmacy and its staff. Provides comprehensive medication-related care for the purpose of achieving definite outcomes that improve a patient's quality of life. Acts in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals in the responsibility for patient drug therapy outcomes. Is responsible for assisting the pharmacy director with preparing and performing all activities involving the pharmacy and therapeutics committee. Assists the Director in complying with all applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations. Will assists in new process implementation and quality improvement initiatives. Responsible for inventory management and the ongoing financial performance of the pharmacy.

 Requires current Indiana license or eligibility for Indiana licensure as a Pharmacist
• Requires PharmD or BS degree in Pharmacy.
• 5 - 7 years pharmacist experience is required
• Requires knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to dispensing of drugs and narcotics
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Management experience is preferred
