The Associate Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) will be a transformational leader that supports the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to achieve the mission, vision, and values of IU Health and advance contemporary nursing practice and nursing operations. Create a productive environment and ensure the delivery of safe, timely, efficient, effective, equitable and patient-centered care. The ACNO partners with the CNO to create/maintain cultures of nursing excellence. The incumbent must articulate and embody the IU Health Way and lead through the IU Health Values of Team, Purpose, Compassion, and Excellence. Responsible for achievement of organizational outcomes on the IU Health promise Dashboard; quality and safety improvement, care affordability, great patient experiences, and great team member experiences. Support CNO in cultivation of evidenced based decision making in clinical and leadership initiatives, shared leadership structures, professional practice models, and continual process improvement. Advocates for a learning environment through the implementation of evidenced based practice and clinical inquiry. Maintains a working knowledge of current clinical practice, regulatory requirements, and Magnet or Pathways standards impacting clinical environments. Novice knowledge of healthcare economics and policy as well as the ability to maintain productive working relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external to the organization.
